There are a number of two in one kitchen contraptions available in the market. Examples include the toaster and egg cooker, grill with smokers, two in one egg cooker and poacher, lemon juicer and squeezer, uni-tool, indoor grill and griddle, and the Omelet Egg Pan Poacher. With the omelet pan egg poacher, you can either make an omelet or poach eggs.
Typically, an omelet pan has long handles to keep the cook from burning himself (or herself). These pans have hinges and are curved outward for easier flipping of eggs. They are commonly made in stainless steel and aluminum. In addition to that, they usually have non-stick surfaces to make flipping eggs and cleaning up easier. An egg poacher, on the other hand, aids in poaching eggs. With the use of these, eggs come out in even shapes. When these two are combined, they make a handy kitchen tool which is what we call the omelet pan egg poacher. Deciding on how you want your eggs will be a lot easier since two tools are already incorporated. If you are too lazy to flip your eggs and create omelet, you can just attach the egg poaching insert into one side of the pan and let it do its magic. Again, clean up and removal of eggs are easy because of the non-stick surface of the pan.
You can make an omelet or poach your eggs with just one tool – the Omelet Pan Egg Poacher. It is handy, convenient, and a great space saver for your kitchen. Try and snoop around the market for brands which suits your style and budget.

Ever wondered what an omelet pan egg poacher is like? Have you used one? This kind of egg cooker is a 2 in 1 egg cooker that allows you to cook omelets and poach eggs. There are many brands being sold with most having the same clam-like physical construction. This egg cooker has two symmetrical pans that can close up like a clam with the use of hinges and has a plastic pan-handle at the middle of one pan to hold it up.
An omelet pan egg poacher is usually made with a thin steel body. A thin pan is better to cook omelets as a thick pan tends to overcook. Unfortunately though, when using a thin pan, always be mindful of not overheating it so that it will not deform and melt. The insides of the pans are coated with Teflon to keep the egg from sticking to both pans. This is also good because cleaning becomes a lot easier. Be careful though not to scratch the pans when using the utensils, better use wooden ones rather than steel ones. Regrettably, for some of the egg cookers, Teflon gets easily scraped off during use and everything becomes sticky. The clam-like design is used to allow even cooking especially when making omelets. Both pans are held by two hinges for easier opening and closing. Since the metal used is thin for this egg cooker, it should not be handled recklessly to avoid deforming the hinged areas. With a plastic handle, it is easier to hold the cooker up and it will not get hot unlike a steel handle. If a poor-quality plastic was used during manufacturing, then be careful of it melting or becoming brittle. For poaching, most brands have poaching trays that you can fit into one pan. Just crack open the eggs, put them in the tray and place the tray into the pan, that simple. Like the pans, the poaching tray is usually Teflon-coated. For clean-up, most cookers are dishwasher-safe, although some manufacturers recommend hand wash. Currently there are a lot of brands of pan egg cookers like Nordic Ware, Metro, Fox run and Calphalon to name a few.
Take a pick at any omelet pan egg poacher that best suits your need and taste. There many advantages with this kind of egg cooker but to stay safe keep the cons written in this article in mind.
